Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Eight Hundred Nineteen Thousand Dollars ($819,000.00) in the form of a grant, for the Moakley Park FEMA BRIC Grant, awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, passed through the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency to be administered by the Department of Parks and Recreation. The grant will fund a program which aims to shift the federal focus away from reactive disaster spending and towards research-supported, proactive investment in the community.
