Title: Councilor Lara called Docket #1703, message and order for your approval an order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend a grant in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEEA), Division of Conservation Services’ Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities (PARC) Program. This grant is awarded to the City of Boston through the Parks and Recreation Department for renovations to the Walsh Playground located in the neighborhood of Mattapan, from the Committee on Environmental Justice, Resiliency and Parks. No objection being heard, the matter was before the body. Committee members polled; yeas 5. On motion of Councilor Lara, the rules were suspended; the order was passed.
