Councilor Coletta called Docket #0784, message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Cultural Facilities Fund grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The grant will support construction of the 1965 Freedom Plaza on the Boston Common, which will commemorate the leaders who worked for social and racial equity alongside Coretta Scott King and Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr, from the Committee on Arts, Culture and Special Events.
No objection being heard, the matter was before the body.
On motion of Councilor Coletta, the order was passed.
