Title: Message and order authorizing the City of Boston Property Management Department to enter into a contract for a period of up to twenty (20) years to manage, maintain, expand, and modernize the City’s advertising-supported Coordinated Street Furniture Program, including bus shelters, public toilets, information panels, digital displays, benches, and related public realm amenities. The newly-reimagined program is intended to improve the attractiveness of Public Transit as a commuting option, along with comfort, accessibility, equity, real-time information, and maintenance across Boston’s streetscapes while increasing advertising revenue and strengthening City oversight. The initial contract term would begin in May, 2027 and end on April 30, 2037, with two five (5) year extensions possible at the City’s sole option.
