Councilor Santana called Docket #1771, message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Seventy-Four Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars and Sixty-Seven Cents ($74,266.67) in the form of a grant, for the FY2020 Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) grant, awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to be administered by the Fire Department. The grant will fund critically needed resources to carry out fire prevention education and training, fire code enforcement, fire/arson investigation, firefighter safety and health programming, prevention efforts, and research and development, from the Committee on Public Safety & Criminal Justice.
