Title: On the motion and order, referred on March 30,2022, Docket # 0433, authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollar ($350,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Massachusetts Diesel Emissions Reduction Act grant (“the DER Grant”) awarded by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection under a Cooperative Agreement with the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The purpose of the DER grant is to reduce diesel emissions from the transportation sector. The funds will be used to purchase and deploy fuel efficient school buses as a part of the Boston Public School fleet, the committee submitted a report recommending the order ought to pass. The report was accepted; the order was passed.
